Register and Plan Ahead for Next Year's Laboratory Animal Sciences Virtual Conference

With 2015 winding down, the holidays around the corner and the Clinical Diagnostics & Research Virtual Event behind us (which you can still catch on-demand), we're done with virtual events for the year. This doesn't necessarily mean we are slowing down though! Our team is hard at work organizing next year's Laboratory Animal Science (LAS) virtual conference that takes place on February 3rd and February 4th of 2016. Next year's conference program committee is led by Dr. Szczepan Baran, who is the Head of Innovative Animal Technologies and Training at Novartis Pharmaceuticals. The conference's program committee will be composed of oevr 30 world renowned experts in the field with the conference them being titled: "Optimizing Design, Conduct and Reproducibility of Animal Studies." Similar to many of our conferences, we will be offering different tracks for you to follow. The tracks that will be offered for the LAS virtual conference consist of the following:

• Optimizing Animal Study Designs - This track is set to include topics about the selection of species and models that include gender and transgenics, IACUC and ethical review issues, model endpoint issues, creation and review of Animal Use Protocols, experimental design and statistics issues, and training challenges.
• Optimizing the Conduct and Implementation of Animal Studies - This track is set to include topics about housing, husbandry and environmental issues, AAALAC and animal care and use program issues, protocol implementations and monitoring issues that include quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC), troubleshooting animal studies, teaching and training to help optimize animal handling and human euthanasia practices.
• Optimizing Reproducibility of Animal Studies - This track is set to include topics that address the general issue of reproducibility and why it's a problem, specific models, systematic review, reporting of animal studies including positive and negative results, communication of animal research including journal publications, translational challenges from preclinical to clinical.

Conference participants will be able to do the following:

• Earn free CME and CE continuing (further explained below)

Continuing Educational Credits The 2016 LAS virtual conference has been approved by the American Association of Veterinary State Boards for Continuing Education for veterinarians and veterinary technicians to receive CE credits.
