One of our several keynote events is hosted by none other than Dr. Michael Laposata and Dr. Julie Taylor, who will be presenting a keynote titled: Optimizing the Use of Laboratory Testing Services to Improve Patient Diagnosis. During their keynote presentation, they will help to improve the prevention of diagnostic errors to help create a positive impact on patient outcomes.
Generally speaking, diagnostic errors impact millions of adults and children every year. The errors range from failing to ordering an appropriate diagnostic test to incorrect interpretation of diagnostic test results. The Clinical Laboratory Integration into Healthcare Collaborative (CLIHC), with the support of the Division of Laboratory Systems at the CDC, are addressing these diagnostic errors by using several approaches.
