A visit to the doctor's office these days involves more gadgets than ever before, among these which are portable electronic devices such as the iPad tablet. With the shift towards the electronic medical system, it only makes sense to make everything more accessible by a tablet, right?

While the tablet may make information more accessible to doctors, it comes at the cost of decreased eye contact for the patients. And it turns out patients actually really value this eye contact time. How are doctors handling this electronic change, and what does it mean for the patient-doctor relationship?
