Can Dark-Colored Eyes See Better?

Other than health risks associated with certain eye colors, can some colors see better than others? For example, can brown eyes see better than light-colored eyes?

Well, research has shown that people with brown eyes have dark irises because of their DNA which codes for genes that lead to the production of plenty of melanin. Melanin is a brownish-black pigment that absorbs light.

In light colored eyes, less melanin is produced, so more light penetrates into the eyes which is why they are more sensitive to fluorescent lighting and the sun.

However, studies have failed to conclude if dark-colored eyes can see well then the light-colored eyes, or if seeing abilities between these categories even varies.
