No Solar Eclipse Sunglasses? No Problem!

WRITTEN BY: Anthony Bouchard

People are getting excited about August 21st's solar eclipse, and while solar eclipse glasses are flying off the shelves of local convenience and retail stores, online price gouging is also in full swing.

Nevertheless, you don't need pricey solar eclipse glasses to observe the solar eclipse on Monday. You can also build and use a pinhole camera at home with ordinary household objects.

Even if you're not crafty enough to create a pinhole camera, there are some other last-resort methods you can turn to instead.

Always remember that viewing a solar eclipse can be incredibly dangerous without the proper eye protection. Although observing such rare events is fun, you should take every precaution to protect your vision from damage by never looking directly at the Sun with your naked eye, even when eclipsed.

Will you be watching the solar eclipse on Monday? Let us know!
