The randomized, controlled trial involved 200 participants who were experiencing significant joint pain attributed to their AI therapy. Participants in the acupuncture and vitamin D group reported a significant reduction in joint pain compared to those in the other groups. This group also exhibited improved mobility and a better overall quality of life. The combination of acupuncture and vitamin D appeared to have a synergistic effect, providing greater pain relief than either intervention alone. The combination therapy did not present any significant adverse effects, suggesting that it could be a viable option for a broader patient population.
