Urinary cancer, also known as bladder cancer, is a type of cancer which develops in the bladder, an organ that stores urine and is located in the lower abdomen. Most bladder cancers are urothelial cancers which begin in the cells that line the inside of the bladder. Bladder cancers can be treated by surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, or immunotherapy. When diagnosed early, bladder cancer is usually treatable but is prone to recurrence requiring regular monitoring for survivors.
