Saliva testing is a non-invasive diagnostic testing tool in which a subject provides saliva into a plastic tube for analysis. Saliva samples can be used to measure presence of various biological mediators such as DNA, hormones, antibodies, or proteins. Many benefits of saliva testing include its low cost and the ability to be obtained without a healthcare professional.
