Nrf2

Cells face oxidative stress induced by reactive oxygen and nitrogen species which can lead to cellular damage. To combat the negative effects of oxidative stress, the body produces antioxidant defense systems. Nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2 (Nrf2) is a transcription factor which regulates cellular resistance to oxidants and can protect from the damaging effects of oxidative stress.
