Liquid chromatography-triple quadrupole (LC-QQQ) tandem mass spectrometry is a laboratory technique used to identify components in a sample. LC-QQQ uses three quadrupoles, two of which filter a sample based on the mass of components. The quadrupoles can be used to scan or filter modes. When scanning, spectra are produced which can be used for qualitative analysis. Quantitative analysis can also be conducted when using the instrument in filtering mode.
