Research Intern
The Labroots Research Intern will work with the Marketing team on content that will be shared as part of various scientific communities on social media online. (Position currently involves working remotely)
Responsibilities
Labroots, the leading scientific social networking website and producer of educational virtual events and webinars is looking to hire research interns. In order to add to the valuable content on labroots.com, we are hiring research interns to help share content on topics they are passionate about.
Assist with finding breakthrough and interesting content in a chosen respective scientific vertical | |
Write unique content summarizing or explaining said scientific news | |
Schedule content out on appropriate social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn) | |
Engage and foster discussions on our various social media accounts | |
Understand marketing processes and help to manage them to their deadlines |
Desired Qualifications & Skills
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications & skills ...
A college degree in the sciences is preferred | |
Previous experience or interest in marketing (including internships and self-started projects) | |
Excellent writing and proven project-management skills | |
Strong interpersonal and communication skills | |
Experience with a social media scheduling tool (ie. Buffer, Hootsuite) is a plus | |
Experience with image editing tools, such as Canva or the Adobe Suite is a plus |
Accountable and on top of a hectic workload of several responsibilities | |
A candidate who strives for excellence and adapts well to change in a fast-paced environment | |
Process oriented and have excellent customer service skills | |
Outgoing and able to communicate effectively with diverse departments and varied responsibilities | |
Organized, detail-oriented and analytical | |
Open to learning new skills and taking on new challenges | |
Self-motivated and proactive |
