    Genome-Wide Association Study (GWAS)

    GWAS studies are a relatively new technique to study small genetic variations ( single nucleotide polymorphisms, SNPs) across the genome of individuals with or without a common trait. For example, GWAS studies are used in medicine to elucidate genes involved in human disease based on these genetic variants.
