Abstract

The presentation will focus on the use of receptor-mediated targeted drug delivery to deliver large molecules to the brain for Alzheimer's disease. Specifically, the presentation will cover transferrin receptor-mediated delivery of antibody-drug fusion proteins, their effects in mouse models of Alzheimer's disease, potential side effects, and challenges associated with chronic dosing.

Learning Objectives:

1. Discuss the Mechanism and Application of Transferrin Receptor-Mediated Drug Delivery.

  • By the end of the presentation, participants will be able to explain how transferrin receptor-mediated delivery of antibody-drug fusion proteins facilitates the transport of large molecules to the brain for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease.

2. Evaluate the Efficacy and Challenges of Chronic Dosing in Alzheimer's Disease Models.

  • By the end of the presentation, participants will be able to assess the effects of transferrin receptor-mediated drug delivery in mouse models of Alzheimer's disease, identify potential side effects, and discuss the challenges associated with chronic dosing.
