Abstract
In this webinar, we will introduce the in situ proximity ligation technology (isPLA) developed by Navinci, and how it can be used for the highly sensitive detection of protein-protein interactions, post-translational modifications, and single protein expression in cells and tissues. isPLA is a spatial proteomics tool that opens the door to a new field – spatial interactomics – and allows the investigation of the functional status of proteins and their expression levels. The cell and tissue architecture is preserved, enabling precise signal localization with sub-cellular resolution. In the webinar, you will learn how these new levels of information can now be obtained in a robust, high-throughput, fully automated manner on the Leica Biosystems BOND RX/RXm automated stainer, saving a lot of hands-on time and reducing data variability. The possibility of performing isPLA on the Leica Biosystems automated stainers makes the technology more accessible to clinicians and researchers working with multiple samples and aids drug and biomarker screens. We will discuss how, thanks to automating isPLA, it is possible to combine the method with other spatial biology platforms, allowing for multiplexing in addition to handling multiple samples simultaneously. Finally, you will learn how to set up and troubleshoot your isPLA experiment on the Leica Biosystems BOND RX instrument.
