Diagnostics, particularly blood cultures, play a key role in sepsis diagnosis. Best practices are well-known for collection, transport, and processing of blood cultures, but historically relatively few tools have been available for tracking these steps and analyzing process efficiency for individual testing centers and test site networks. This presentation will analyze the current state and examine how these tools can be used for process improvements.
Learning Objectives:
-
Understand best practices for blood specimen collection, transport and processing
-
Be able to identify and resolve inefficiencies in the diagnostic workup of septic patients
-
Be able to develop a process using data analytics for tracking process improvements for the management of their septic patients.
Webinars will be available for unlimited on-demand viewing after live event.
