Local and systemic inflammation typically involve one or more cytokine cascades, or pathways, which trigger and maintain the inflammatory response. Mapping such pathways could reveal the underlying molecular mechanisms behind inflammation and give a better understanding of inflammatory diseases, thereby enabling characterization and stratification of inflammatory conditions and patients.
Invitrogen™ ProQuantum™ high-sensitivity immunoassays are a new platform with a repertoire of relevant cytokine proteins. It combines excellent sensitivity for low-level detection of soluble proteins and low consumption of precious samples. This webinar will demonstrate the application of the ProQuantum platform to detect various cytokine proteins in serum samples of healthy and asthmatic individuals. The ProQuantum next-generation platform represents a promising new tool for the inflammatory research community.
Learning objectives:
A new immunoassay platform and how it can be a powerful tool for low-level cytokine detection
How it is used in an actual research study on inflammatory disease
