Nano-emulsions are becoming increasingly popular in various Life Science and Industrial markets including Drug Delivery, Food&Beverage, Cosmetics, and Pigments/Dyes. In most cases, the reduction of the particle size imparts a (kinetic) stability to the formulation. Hence, particle sizing and dispersion stability characterization are critical quality attributes that must be optimized and subsequently utilized as Quality Control pass/fail criteria. After reviewing emulsification processing options, a detailed review of particle sizing techniques will be given addressing operational techniques as well as advantages and disadvantages for each. Emulsion examples from a variety of markets will also be shown.
Learning Objectives:
Understanding the difference between a Nano-emulsion and a macro-emulsion
Identifying instruments that can be used to characterize the size of nano-emulsions
Knowing what markets utilize nano-emulsions for their product emulsions
Webinars will be available for unlimited on-demand viewing after live event.
