Introduction of Tissue Microarrays

Tissue microarrays combines tens to hundreds of paraffin-embedded tissue cores into a single paraffin block. It is a practical and highly effective technique for high-throughput analyses of various tissue samples.  Use cases of tissue microarrays include: antibody validation, research target identification  and accelerated internal control procedures. TMA blocks can be created manually or via automated instruments that allow chain of custody and digital region of interest selection. Created TMA Recipient blocks become a source of slides for a variety of staining protocols and molecular applications.  Benefits of TMA automation include efficiency, accuracy, and effective use of human tissue resources.
