Nanostring’s GeoMX DSP allows for the characterization of spatial distribution and abundance of proteins and mRNAs with morphological context. This extends the ability for enhanced translational research in many areas, including immunology, oncology and neuropathology with downstream analysis of analyte abundance by either nCounter or Next Generation Sequencing. The initial workflow with a semi-automated run on the Leica Bond RX was resource limiting due to heavy bench time for the RNA analysis. However, the development of a fully automated run on the Leica Bond RX for the RNA workflow allows a 4 fold increase in sample processing. This presentation will demonstrate the effectiveness of the new protocol and data generated by the two protocols compared across HNSCC samples.
