Time: 8:00am PDT, 5:00pm CEST

Abstract

The University of York has now been using the new benchtop cell sorter CytoFLEX SRT for several months. We will talk about our experiences with this new system, whilst also running live samples with quality checks throughout! Using multiple cameras and desktop sharing, we will try and make this as close as possible to being in the labs yourselves.
As a user friendly system, at the start of the seminar, we will 'Go Live' and switch the system on for all to see. Whilst the system initialises, sets itself up, we will talk you through the various features of the CytoFLEX SRT that appeal to ourselves and our user base.

We will then return to the CytoFLEX SRT to set up a live sort on fluorescent tagged cells and to show that beyond the basic bulk sorting into tubes, that the 96 well plate sorting is equally simple. This will also enable us to show the precision of sorting cells, as we will go to the microscopes to physically count the number of cells sorted into each well.
We will then also go through some of the different user sample examples that we have so far proven on the system, including very sensitive stem cell sorts.
Seeing is believing!: So we will show you in real time the ease of setting up and sorting with the CytoFLEX SRT and describe our first insights and impressions of this benchtop cell sorter.

Learning Objectives:

  • Explain how the SRT works
  • Discuss what we have used to date on the system
  • Identify and visualize the system in action

Webinars will be available for unlimited on-demand viewing after live event.
