In this talk we will discuss the new analytical approaches to characterize RNA molecules from small oligonucleotides to larger messenger RNA.
The interest in RNA therapeutics is growing whether it is using antisense oligonucleotides (ASOs), aptamers, siRNAs and more recently synthetic mRNAs to control disease-relevant genes. Such drugs can engage targets that were otherwise difficult to reach by small molecules and proteins and therefore opens new avenues to treat disease.
The solutions demonstrated in this webinar use commercially available kits and techniques such as capillary electrophoresis (CE) and Liquid chromatography (LCMS) to characterize RNA targets. During the presentation, you will understand where each technique fits into the analytical scientist’s toolbox.
Learning Objectives
- Summarize how CE provides highly resolved separation and detection of RNA molecules
- Discover how the LCMS provides in-depth characterization of antisense oligonucleotides
- Explain how CE is being used to speed up RNA aptamer research
- Recognize how CE methods can be modified to separate small and large RNA molecules.
Webinars will be available for unlimited on-demand viewing after live event.
