In this webinar we will take you inside our labs to share with you the advances and capabilities of Agilent’s atomic spectroscopy instrumentation. We will share with you our combined decades of experience in the petroleum industry to help simplify the elemental analysis of crude oils, petroleum products, and lubricants.
The Agilent atomic spectroscopy range of instruments provide the application coverage needed to analyze the wide range of samples that are typically found in a petroleum testing laboratory. Our spectroscopy portfolio, which includes AA, GFAA, MP-AES, ICP-OES, ICP-MS, and triple quadrupole ICP-MS (ICP-QQQ), is widely used within the oil industry. Each instrument is currently used in petroleum labs around the world to perform accurate and precise measurements using in-built smart technologies, ensuring high quality data and cost efficient analyses.
Deciding which analytical technique to use to analyze a particular sample will depend on analytical factors such as the list of elements, number of samples, sample preparation, and desired detection limits. Alternately, a laboratory will use the technique specified in a relevant standard test method published by regulatory bodies like the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) and International Organization for Standardization (ISO). Research labs, having different objectives than production or testing labs, often require cutting edge technology or advanced methods. We will share examples that fall into each of the above listed categories.
