Reproduction biology studies the biological process of reproduction and the generation of new offspring produced from parent(s). Reproduction can occur in sexual or asexual forms. During sexual reproduction, an organism combines genetic information from two parents to generate a unique individual with DNA from each parent. Asexual reproduction occurs when one parent copies its genetic information generating an identical offspring.
Plant viruses cause significant damage in terms of reduction in quality and quantity of yield in a wide range of crop plants worldwide. The majority of plant viruses are transmitted from one...

A crucial part of providing animals for research is successful breeding. Still, in many mouse facilities breeding efficiency is complicated by problems with reproduction, such as pre-weaning...
Historically, rodent disease models have mainly used a single sex or did not stratify outcomes by sex when both sexes were studied. These experimental approaches were based on the assumption...
This presentation will discuss variables in rodent colony management that can affect colony breeding efficiency, rodent health, and factors that can modulate rodent models of disease. V...
The ability to breed zebrafish in the laboratory goes a long way in determining the success or failure a research program. The complexity of zebrafish reproductive behavior and spawning i...
Contamination is an everyday challenge in cell culture labs. Undetected or ignored contamination and misidentification of cell lines endanger the reliability and reproducibility of experiment...
Biofilms, are defined as communities of microorganisms that grow embedded in a self-generated matrix of exopolysaccharides and adhered to an inert surface or a live tissue. They are formed 95...
