Data Strategy is the technique used to process and analyze large amounts of data stored. Data strategy also includes methods in which one can store, acquire, and rapidly share data en masse. Since data is considered a currency, it is a top priority to accomplish these methods as efficiently as possible in order to leverage the analytics for benefit.
The aim with this session is to give a brief overview of various parameters that you need to consider when deciding your strategy how to obtain quantitative data....

DATE: February 8, 2017TIME: 12:00pm PT, 3:00pm ETIn-vivo surgical models are becoming more prevalent and more critical to the drug development process. As the vast majority of ind...
Breast cancer is a complex heterogeneous disease, with each subtype characterized by distinct clinical features and molecular alterations. The heterogeneity of breast cancer has presented mas...
Liquid chromatography high resolution time-of-flight mass spectrometry (LC-TOF-MS) is becoming increasingly popular in the clinical research laboratory. It can offer higher throughput and sup...
Melanoma arises in the pigment producing cells (melanocytes) and is the deadliest of the skin cancers. It accounts for nearly 200,000 new cases of cancer each year worldwide and in the U.S. o...
Tumor heterogeneity has been known for a while but quantifying heterogeneity is still a challenge. NGS is the method of choice in the analysis of tumor heterogeneity, however, there are...

Translational investigators require powerful immunoassays for the targeted detection of proteomic biomarkers with the goal of studying human health. Cytokine profiling tools are critical to u...
In order to realize the benefits of personalized cancer therapy, increasing demands are placed upon clinical laboratories to provide timely, comprehensive, clinically actionable, and analytic...
The extravagant expectations around emerging technologies often gives way to a sense of disillusionment when the lofty expectations are not fulfilled. For genomics and precision precision to...
Imaging-based techniques have traditionally been restricted to the diagnosis and staging of cancer. But technological advances are moving imaging modalities into the heart of patient care. Im...
In vitro translation (IVT) using mammalian cell extracts is a quick and convenient alternative to in vivo mammalian protein expression. Thermo Fisher has developed IVT systems from two mammal...
We have been developing methods to target drugs specifically to pathologic cells, thereby avoiding collateral toxicity to healthy cells. In the case of cancer, we have exploited up-regulation...
Cancer remains the second leading cause of death in the United States. Most tumors arise from a myriad of genetic changes that dysregulate cell growth and prompt survival. Ident...
There is a growing appreciation of the relationship between gut microbiota, and the host in maintaining homeostasis in health and predisposing to disease. Bacterial colonisation of the gut pl...
Cell death is involved in diseases such as cancer and neurodegeneration, and also has a natural role in the development of multicellular organisms. Although apoptosis has been well defined, a...
One of the primary goals of precision medicine is the aggregation and interpretation of deep, longitudinal patient-specific data in the context of the digital universe of information, using a...
Working with animals carries legal, scientific and ethical responsibilities. These responsibilities merge as we strive to humanely use the least number of animals necessary to provide t...
Translational failure in biomedicine has led to much soul-searching about the causes for this. Amongst many others (misunderstanding of statistical tests, vibration of effects, flexibility in...
Currently, next-generation sequencing is not only being used for basic discovery research but also in clinical settings for translational biomarker profiling and clinical research studies inc...
As one of the nation's most prevalent sexually transmitted infections, genital herpes represents a diagnostic and therapeutic challenge to clinicians, laboratorians and the patients they...
Aggressive low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) lowering strategies are recommended for prevention of cardiovascular events in high-risk populations. Guidelines recommend a 30-50% redu...
