Chronic Myeloid Leukemia: the essential role of molecular testing as a guide to diagnosis and treatment

Abstract

CML is traditionally regarded as a paradigm of precision medicine, under several points of view:
1) it is the first human malignancy whose molecular pathogenesis was unravelled, well before the advent of omics
2) it is the first human malignancy against which the dream of molecularly targeted therapies came true;
3) it is the first setting in which the power of molecular testing for response monitoring was demonstrated to play a key role in support to clinical decision making;
4) it has always led the way for the forward-looking application of novel technologies to routine diagnostics.

This webinar will address the fundamental role of the synergy between the lab and the clinic in ensuring optimal outcomes for CML patients.

Webinar agenda:

  • 3.00-3.05: Welcome and introduction of Diaceutics and speakers by Antonio Capece
  • 3.05-3.25: Chronic Myeloid Leukemia: the essential role of molecular testing as a guide to diagnosis and treatment – presented by Prof. Simona Soverini
  • 3.25-3.35 Q&A
