Some of you may have heard of a stick bomb; others may not have. It has the word "bomb" in it, but we assure you that this is anything but explosive and dangerous, and that you could do one of these awesome projects at home with your kids.
A stick bomb is essentially a large collection of popsicle sticks that are interweaved in such a way that spring-loaded tension is put on specific points. When the tension is relieved, all of the sticks appear to "jump" and then gravity takes over and they fumble to the ground.
In this video, you'll see a massive stick bomb made of 13,654 popsicle sticks self-destruct. It's truly a sight to behold.
Although building the stick bomb may have been fun, and watching it explode may have been even more fun yet, we're sure the cleanup process after that big show could take a while.
