FARP1 (2D4) | Santa Cruz Biotechnology

mouse monoclonal IgG2a; FARP1 Antibody (2D4) is an IgG2a κ mouse monoclonal FARP1 antibody (also designated PLEKHC2 antibody or CDEP antibody) that detects the FARP1 protein of human origin by WB, IP, IF, IHC(P) and ELISA. FARP1 Antibody (2D4) is available as the non-conjugated anti-FARP1 antibody. FARP1 (FERM, RhoGEF (ARHGEF) and pleckstrin domain protein 1), also known as PLEKHC2 or CDEP, is a 1,045 amino acid protein that contains one FERM domain, one DH domain and two PH domains. Existing as multiple alternatively spliced isoforms that are expressed in fetal heart, brain and spleen, as well as in adult lung, kidney and testis, FARP1 is thought to function as a Rho-guanine nucleotide exchange factor that may play a role in linking the cell membrane to the cytoskeleton. The gene encoding FARP1 maps to human chromosome 13, which houses over 400 genes, such as BRCA2 and RB1, and comprises nearly 4% of the human genome. Trisomy 13, also known as Patau syndrome, is deadly and the few who survive past one year suffer from permanent neurologic defects, difficulty eating and vulnerability to serious respiratory infections.
